Ground Zero, Pomona, NY Ground Zero Independence RideGround Zero Independence RideGround Zero Independence Ride

The ride was founded by rescue and recovery workers at Ground Zero in NYC. With a police escort, the riders begin at Ground Zero, travel across the George Washington Bridge and up the Palisades Parkway to scenic Krucker's Grove in Pomona (Rockland County), NY. There they will enjoy an old-fashioned American barbeque with hearty food and drink, live music, bike games, tattoo contests, and a Kid Zone for children. All included in the $50 entry fee. Proceeds benefit two non-profit organizations, Tuesday's Children, which serves families who lost a loved one in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and Anderson House, a residential treatment program for women recovering from alcoholism and drug addiction.
