All makes, all models are welcome -- Hell's Angels, guys on Harleys, dykes on bikes, brothers on Beemers, Devil Dolls, and folks who are not part of any club -- motorcycle enthusiasts from all walks of life are invited to join this ride!Rev. Georgia Prescott of the Center for Spiritual Awareness says, "The Season For Nonviolence Motorcycle Run is an invitation to shift our consciousness about people who ride motorcycles and to draw attention to the 64 Days of putting our attention on peaceful living. While attitudes about "bikers" has improved over the years, there still exists a violent stereotype of folks who ride. The Center for Spiritual Awareness brings bikers of all kinds together, making it a true day of unity through diversity."The Season for Nonviolence ia a national 64-day educational, media, and grassroots campaign dedicated to demonstrating that nonviolence is a powerful way to heal, transform, and empower our lives and our communities. The Season for Nonviolence takes place from January 30th - April 4th and is inspired by the 50th and 30th memorial anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This international event honors their vision for an empowered, nonviolent world and has been convened by Association for Global New Thought and the M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence.
