Jessies RideJessie's Ride is a good time to help raise money for the the JML Foundation. JML Foundation was founded in remembrance of nine-year-old Jessica Lunsford. Jessica's Act, a national initiative of the JML Foundation seeks to increase the penalties for sex predators. Jessie, as she is fondly remembered, was abducted from her Homosassa, Fla. home on the night of February 23, 2005 by convicted sex offender John Evander Couey, who repeatedly sexually assaulted her before stuffing her in garbage bags and burying her alive in a shallow grave behind his home.In her honor, we are planning Jessie's Ride. This will mark the first JML Foundation bike ride in Austin, Texas and show our community's commitment to stop child sex offenders. Jessie's bike, donated to the JML Foundation by chopperartist/designer Alan Bernard Santiago, will be on display at the conclusion of the ride. The plan is to start the at Cowboy Harley Davidson and end at an event venue. The day’s activities are geared for adult and family entertainment as well as child safety education. Entry fee for the ride is $35 single rider/ $45 double riderThe proceeds of this event will go to support the JML Foundations three main goals: 1. To educate public sectors as to the needs for tougher legislation 2. Provide a grassroots awareness and continuous support base 3. To be an active political voice for childrenTo find out more about the act please visit
