Both of these boys have had to face the detrimental effects of Adrenoleukodystrophy, sadly, a progressive and terminal disease. Although the situation is a tragic one, we take great comfort in coming together and putting our talents to work to help other children and families in Rhode Island facing similar challenges. This Event is a fundraiser for: A Wish Come True: A local humanitarian organization that grants wishes to children in R.I. battling life threatening illnesses. United Leukodystrophy Foundation: A national organization that supports the study for a cure of the Leukodystrophies. Matthew Sundstrom: A local 11 year old boy suffering with Adrenoleukodystrophy, a progressive and terminal disease. His brother Mitchell, passed away 8 years ago at age 11 of this same disease. Motorcycle Run Registration will start at 9:00 am at the Truck Auto Plaza truck stop on Rt 102 exit 5B. The ride will kick off at 10:30 and will end at noon at Effin's Last Resort Pub and Grill at 325 Farnum Pike in Smithfield. Lunch will be provided along with some great music by Loose Change and various other local talents. Those not participating in the ride can come to Effin's at noon. Tickets to the event will be available in advance, at the bike run registration and at the door. The suggested donation is $20.
