American Legion Riders, Post 14, Smyrna, DE,sponsors their first annual "Blow The Dust Off" poker run. This will be a five-stop poker run, with $1,000.00 pay-out for high hand. Second place prize of $100.00 goes to winning ticket. Winner of high hand not eligible for second place prize. When: Saturday, April 11, 2009. Rain or shine.Sign-up: 9:30 am to 11:30 am.Where: Sign up at Mike's Famous Harley-DavidsonoBegin: Start time; 11:30 am at Mike's Famous Harley-Davidson.End: American Legion Ambulance Hall 111 Glenwood Avenue Smyrna, DE 19977 Entry Fee: $25.00/First Hand, $10.00/Second Hand.Stops: Five stops, to be announced. Course map provided. Who: This run is designed for motorcycles, however, if if weather is bad, cars permitted. Prizes: $1,000.00/High Hand, $100.00/Winning Ticket. All entrants will receive a wristband an event pin.Course will cover Kent County and New Castle County, DE and may veer into the Warwick, MD, area for one stop. Estimated ride time is 1.5 to 2 hours. Post run bash will feature door prize, raffles, food, cash bar, vendors and music. % of proceeds goes to American Legion Riders Accident Victims Fund and % goes to American Legion Riders Operating Fund for future events. Winter is almost over. What a way to start the 2009 riding season. Join in the fun and support a good cause.
