Bluebonnet Country Motorcycle Ride to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Bellville will start at Newman's Bakery at 10:00 with free coffee and donuts at registration. A staggered start begins at 10:30 traveling along great country roads in the counties of Austin, Colorado and Fayette. Riders will enjoy lightly traveled roads with some nice twists and turns, possible deer, horse, cow and longhorn sightings and hopefully some lingering spring wild flowers. A two-three hour poker run will culminate at the Boys and Girls Club in Bellville with a BBQ lunch and prizes. Reservations are advised; $20 rider,$5 passenger The first 200 riders receive a commemorative pin. Help the Boys and Girls Club of Bellville finish paying for their new building and support the "Positive Place for Kids" where Tony Spears, a member of the club has won the title of 2009 Texas Youth of the Year and will be competing for the National Title very soon. Other areas of interest while in Bellville are the Austin County Historical Jail Museum, open for tours, Sat 11-3; the Turnverein Pavilion and Veteran's War Memorial at the Austin County Fair Grounds; Cummings Crypt; Buck Ferguson Originals; Rocking B Cowboy Store and tours are available at the Blacksmith Shop/Phenix Knives. Come out and enjoy the day in Bellville where the hills begin!
