7000 Midland Blvd Amelia, OH Martha Enriquez 513-735-8409 Hotels Weather Map/Direction | 18-May-2008 (Sunday) Edit/Update this event Destination Cyclesafe (# 7905)Motorcycle crashes and fatalities are becoming all too common in Ohio and a group of interested people have joined forces to try to increase awareness regarding motorcycle safety. For this reason, Destination CycleSafe is coming to Clermont County. This event is the first of its kind in this area and will focus primarily on motorcycle safety.The event is FREE to the public, has free vendor space available and is scheduled for Sunday, May 18, 2008, 11 AM to 5 PM in the Midland Company Parking lot (off Bach-Buxton Rd.) 7000 Midland Blvd. Amelia, OH 45102. Destination CycleSafe will feature a bike show (8 classes, trophies awarded) vendors, safety displays, riding demonstrations, accident scene management information and much more. Many thanks to the Midland Company for the use of the parking lot. Jevic Transportation will have a "No-Zone" truck to bring awareness to the limited visibility of large trucks. Miami Township Police Department will perform riding demonstrations. Motorcyclists will be able to have their tire pressure checked and their bikes washed. Central Joint Fire/EMS will demonstrate accident scene management. A Bike show will allow visitors to enter their favorite bike and help choose the winner in a variety of categories. Concessions will also be available. Destination CycleSafe is coordinated by Clermont County Safe Communities (a program within the Clermont County General Health District) and the Midland Company. Groups assisting include the Southern Cruisers Riding Club Chapter 309, Beechmont Motorsports, Harley Davidson Eastgate, Eastgate Harley Owners Group, Gold Wing Riders Club Chapter E-2, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Clermont County Sheriff's Department, Great Oaks, ABATE Ohio and Motorcycle Ohio. |
