Felicia Claxton Memorial Scholarship Ride - 2nd Annual (# 12556)

The Second Annual Felicia Claxton Memorial Scholarship Ride will take place at Georgia Highlands College in Rome, GA. All proceeds will go toward establishing a scholarship in memory of Felicia Claxton who died in 1999. Felicia was thinking of attending GHC however after complications from her heart transplant in 1998 she died before she got the chance to go to college. Felicia's mother is a faculty member and an Alumni of Georgia Highlands, and is the coordinator for the Human Services Program at GHC. Her students wanted to make a difference so along with Susan Claxton the idea for a scholarship in Felicia's name was born. The scholarship will go toward helping students who fall through the crack of financial aid. After the Ride lunch will be served.
