General Tommy Franks Freedom Ride And Poker Run (# 11289)

This 140 mile poker run starts at the Proteam Harley dealer in Lawton OK, and ends at the Hobart airport. Registration begins at 9 a.m. at Pro-Team Harley Davidson, 301 S.E. Interstate Drive in Lawton (no pre-registration required). The $30 fee includes one Poker Run entry and one chance for a 08 Sportster XL1200C drawing. Prizes will also be awarded for the top and low poker hands ($300, top; $100, low); other prizes include a leather jacket signed by Willie G. Bikers must participate in the Freedom Ride and Poker Run to qualify for the drawing and must be present to win. Gen. Franks recommends attaching an American flag to the motorcycles.The last bike leaves Lawton by 10:15 a.m. Riders pick up cards at designated stops--through Medicine Park, the Wichita Mountains, Saddle Mountain, Roosevelt, Blair, Quartz Mountain Lodge--and ends at the Hobart Regional Airport, southeast of Hobart on U.S. 183. The last bike must arrive by 2 p.m. Gen Franks will lead the group on a Parade thru Hobart, ending at his Museum, where winners will be announced. After the awarding of prizes, bikers may visit the museum, take photographs with the General and stay for the evening concert. The Poker Run is part of the Memorial day celebration honoring our Veterans.
