Hope Ride For The Muscular Dystrophy Association (# 12560)

Location: I-5 Southbound Baldock Rest Area.
Local Harley-Davidson dealers and riders will show their support for families serviced by the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) on August 1 during the 4th Annual MDA Hope Ride and poker run. Riders with all makes and models are encouraged to attend. A pre-party is set for 6-8 p.m. July 31 at Paradise Harley-Davidson and Buell. Riders who turn in registration packets during the pre-party will earn an extra poker hand. The ride starts August 1 at the I-5 Southbound Baldock Rest Area, south of Charbonneau at milepost 282. Registration begins at 8 a.m. for riders who were not pre-registered at the pre-party, and kickstands are up at 9 a.m. 2009 MDA Ride Ambassador Quinnell Flanagan and Sunset HOG Chapter member Wayne Nishimura will lead the ride. Participants will make their way to Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln City, Ore., where there will be a barbecue lunch and entertainment from 1190 KEX and AM Northwest personality Dave Anderson. Riders and passengers must raise a minimum of $50 and for every $400 they receive, they will have the chance to win a $3,000 Harley-Davidson shopping spree sponsored by the three participating dealers.
