Las Vegas Bikefest (# 17798)
From Thursday, 27-Sep-2012 at 12:00 PM
To Sunday, 30-Sep-2012 at 02:00 PM
850 North Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV
However, if you were at the Annual Las Vegas Bikefest this past year, you're probably regaling all your bros with stories of the fabulous times you had there; for there's no better time to be had than what you'll find during the four-day Las Vegas Biker Rally in the 'Entertainment Capital of the World.'
Yet, soon enough you'll be able to pre-register in order to make sure you share in all the amenities of the Annual Bikefest in Sin City.
Those amenities? Some of the best and most unique in the United States when it comes to motorcycle rallies. Sure, other rallies have great rides to take part in as well. Sure, other rallies have contests and competitions galore. Sure, other rallies allow you to party into the night with your bros.
However, none of those other rallies have $100,000 Poker Runs sponsored by Counts' Kustoms through the great desert scenery you'll find only right outside Las Vegas. None of those other rallies feature the Artistry in Iron Master Builders' Championship like the Las Vegas Bikefest does.
None of those other rallies feature Poker Tournaments just for registered visitors. None of those other rallies include Grand Prize Giveaways like the Las Vegas Motorcycle Rally does; where as many as three casinos hand out custom made bikes to the winners worth more than some people make in a year.
And finally, none of those other rallies have a Mr. Las Vegas and Miss Las Vegas contest, as well as an official Bikini and Wet T-Shirt contest.
You'll find all of that at the Las Vegas Bikefest and more. Including incredible eats at numerous restaurants along the Strip and all over Sin City, live entertainment, both at the event venues and the casinos like you've never seen before, and a host of other things to do at the Cashman Center where you'll find the more than 250 vendors who've come for the extravaganza.
This generally isn't the kind of biker rally you'd want to bring the family, as Vegas is more famous for its nightlife than its family-catered features, but there are plenty of things for the wife and kids to do if you choose to bring them along as well.
But if you ride into Vegas on I-15 on your own, gliding past the many strangely scenic views of Venice, New York, Hollywood, Rio de Janeiro, Paris, Rome, and many other cities that have seemingly been transported to the Nevada desert, you'll be joining more than 50,000 bikers enjoying the good times to be had at Las Vegas' premier Motorcycle event.
You'll be able to gamble and carouse your way through some of the best night-time spots in the nation, including the infamous Hogs and Heifers Saloon. This is the western version of the even more infamous Hogs and Heifers Saloon in New York City that was the locale used in the film Coyote Ugly.
I've been to both, and I can tell you there's a rockin' good time to be had at either.
When you've recovered from some of your partying each night, you can take the shuttles to the Cashman Center and enjoy all the other forms of entertainment; including the custom bike show, sport bike freestyle stunt show and Artistry in Iron mentioned above. There'll be 20 master builders invited to the Las Vegas BikeFest who'll wow you with their talent.
Builders like L.A. County Choprods' Gard Hollinger and Central Coast Cycles' Scott Long, or even the guys from Thunderstruck Customs.
You'll be able to get their autographs if you like during one of the many autograph signing sessions. That, or you can just hang out on Fremont Street admiring the thousands of motorcycles that have rode into town.
Whatever you choose to do, there's no doubt you'll slake your thirst for fun at one of the best motorcycle events in the country. The Las Vegas Bikefest may not be the biggest rally in the nation, but if you want to have pure, unadulterated fun, there's not a better place to be than Sin City this coming year.
