PrescottFounders RunThe Prescott Founders Run, sponsored by Bucky's Casino.The ride through the Red Rocks will raise funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona.Funds will go toward the granting of wishes to children between 2-1/2 and 18 who suffer fromlife-threatening medical conditions.The founders of Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, Frank and Kitty Shankwitz, will lead theway. Registration is at Bucky's Casino at 9 a.m. The last riderswill head out at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 17. Breakfast will be served.The poker run will leave Prescott, wind through the Red Rocks of Sedona, up to the historicmining town of Jerome, across Mingus Mountain into Prescott, then up the mountain toBucky's Casino at the Prescott Resort, approximately 135 miles. There will be check-in pointsalong the way where the riders will receive a bead; at the end of the run Bucky's will exchangethe beads for cards. High hand and low hand will receive cash prizes.Return to live music, specialty booths, and a BBQ where everyone receives an entry form forextraordinary door prizes.This year make plans to stay and play.
