St. Albans, VT Mike Hotels Weather Map/Direction | 18-May-2008 (Sunday) Edit/Update this event Parade Tribute For The Moving Wall (# 7730)Motorcycles to LEAD parade in a Tribute to the MOVING WALL Sunday May 18, 2008 1PM in St. Albans, VT. Parade organizers have extended an invitation to ALL motorcyclists to LEAD a parade in Tribute to the OVER 58 000 names inscribed on the MOVING WALL beginning at 1PM May 18th. The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA), Shamrocks MC, American Legion Riders and Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) will participate (rain or shine) and request EVERYONE that rides, organizations and individuals regardless of motorcycle make, join us in this solemn Tribute to our Fallen Brothers and Sisters. (Staging for bikes will be at the IMMIGRATION Parking lot on Houghton St. between Lower Weldon St. and Lake St. beginning at 12 NOON!) Help us get the word out to everyone and make this a memorable occasion for the thousands of spectators and visitors to the WALL. Motorcycles will LEAD the parade thereby avoiding the slow pace of the marchers. We encourage everyone to fly their FLAG(s) American, POW/MIA, Branches of the Armed Services, State and those representative of your organization. This information will help you properly display your flag(s). US Flag Only If only the US Flag is on your bike, it should either be at the center, or to its "marching right" - on the right side of the motorcycle to the rider's perspective when facing forward. US Flag And One Other Flag Of Any Type If the US Flag is on your bike with another, it should be to its "marching right" - on the right side of the motorcycle to the rider's perspective. If the other flag is that of another nation, it should be the same size and at the same height of the US Flag - NO flag should ever be displayed higher than the US Flag. US Flag and 2 other flags of any type If the US Flag is on your bike with 2 other flags, it should be displayed above and in the center of the other flags. |
