08-Nov-2009 (Sunday)

MEMORIAL RUN The local chapter of US Coast Guard Riders will be hosting a memorial ride for the 7 members of the USCG and the two members of the US Marines involved in a mid air collision on October 29, 2009 off the coast of San Diego. Meet at the Petaluma Fairgrounds parking lot at 9:45 AM and be on the road by 10:15 AM We will ride from Petaluma to the Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento Stops will be made along the way so please don't let the distance keep you from coming out! Access onto the base is prohibited so we will pay our respects outside the gates to show the crew of Air Station Sacramento we appreciate all they do for our community. We are asking but not requiring a $10 donation per person that will go directly into a fund set up for the families by the US Coast Guard Training Center Petaluma (Donations will be collected at the Fairgrounds before we depart. This is not mandatory however anything you can spare will be greatly appreciated. This is our little way of showing our respects to the fallen shipmates and hero's that serve and protect our nation) If you do not have a motorcycle and would still like to attend please feel free to drive with us. It would be great to have a couple chase cars to carry any supplies that are needed. Please pass this on to anyone that you know who rides. This is open to everyone. This not only an opportunity to pay our respects but a chance to right with the men and women who serve and protect everyday
