General Information1. Introduction:“Ride for Wise” was started by several fellow officers of fallen Reading Police Officer Michael H. Wise II.2. Motorcycle DetailsAll bikes welcome: sport bikes, foreign bikes, domestic bikes, trikes, side cars, choppers, home-made bikes, and anything that would require a DOT Motorcycle license.3. This Year's EventsJoin us in paying tribute for the 8th Annual “Ride for Wise” in Remembrance of Officer Michael H. Wise II. General Donations can be directly made to this fund by sending checks to“Ride for Wise” P.O. Box 8161 Reading, Pa. 19603. Checks should be made out toMichael H. Wise II Memorial Foundation, IncThis year's specific events are being finalized but will involve a ride from Reading to Cleona Area on 06/03/12. We will depart R.A.C.C. at noon. Click here for a Map link . There will be an after party that will involve food and live music.4. Donations scheduled for 2012 proceedsAll proceeds go directly to the Michael H. Wise II Memorial Foundation, Inc. to1. celebrate the life of Michael H. Wise, II, a Reading, Pennsylvania, Police Officer killed in the line of duty on June 5, 2004;2. celebrate the lives of all law enforcement officers and firefighters who have died in the line of duty;3. organize and promote charitable events that reflect law enforcement officers and firefighters in a positive manner;4. Make charitable donations to individuals and/or organizations consistent with the principles set forth above.5. How to ParticipateParticipation in this motorcycle ride requires a registration fee. (None of the officers or volunteers associated with “Ride for Wise” is paid.)5.1. RegistrationTo obtain a registration form go to the websiteSolo riders pay a $35 registration fee additional passenger pays and additional $25 registration fee. We recommend pre-registration this way we can account for the correct amounts of food and notify the jurisdictions about the size of the group. The registration fee includes the after party.After you register you will receive a wristband and T-shirt at the Pre-registered table upon arrival to the event. You will be required to sign a release form as well as show a valid motorcycle license at this time.5.1.1. Escorting Officer RegistrationIf you are an escorting officer you need to register as stated above.
