These motorcyclists and American Diabetes Association supporters will come together and parade through Gwinnett County to make a powerful difference in the lives of the 21 million men, women and children living with diabetes in the United States. Established in 1995 by Atlanta endocrinologist and avid motorcycle rider Dr. Victor Silverman as a way to combine his love for the open road with his passion for helping people affected by diabetes, Ride To Live attracts motorcyclists throughout Georgia. Last year, Ride To Live sponsors and fundraisers joined together in the spirit of caring and giving to raise nearly $260,000 to benefit the ADA and its mission to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. To fulfill this mission, the Association funds research, publishes scientific findings, provides information and other services to people with diabetes, their families, health care professionals and the public. The ADA is also actively involved in advocating for scientific research as well as for the rights of all people with diabetes. Please join former Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Falcons player Brian Jordan, the ADA and hundreds of Georgians at 9 a.m. on May 10th at the Hooters of Gwinnett for a fully police-escorted ride over the Buford Dam, live entertainment, delicious food, prizes, raffles and more.
