I have been going to the International Motorcycle Show for quite a few years now, I saw a few of them in the north east, and been to the San Mateo, CA International Motorcycle Show for 3-4 years in a row.
This year as every other year, the show took place at the San Mateo Convention Center. This year however, the show accompanied only 3 buildings in oppose to 5 in prior years (maybe it is the economy), never the less, it was defiantly worth going to see it.
The first thing you would notice is the huge line for the ticket boots which I guess means that people are interested in what is inside...lucky for me I had a media-pass and slipped right in.
As you get into the main building, the only thing that comes to mind is "WOW", the place is huge, tons of people, tons of vendors, tons of bikes, tons of accessories, tons of everything...actually one thing was missing, hot chicks in skimpy clothing...sorry, I am sick what can I say.
We walked in and around the 3 buildings for a couple of hours seeing all kinds of interesting creations on 2 wheels, and some strange ones on 3 wheels.
If you are looking for any kind of motorcycle gadget, or any kind of accessory, you will defiantly find it here. Anything from helmets, to apparel, to anything else that you can think of.
Last but defiantly not least, the food court, it is not as big as you may expect from such a big motorcycle show, but boy was it good. We indulged our selves on a 12" sausage in a bun with fried onions and papers...I am still drooling just thinking about it (but do not expect your cardiologist to be happy with you eating this).
All in all I would say that the show was a good one, I would give it 4 our of 5 stars, one less star just because I remember prior years when the event span over all the 5 buildings.
